A multi-faceted series of programming will amplify the exhibition's impact, including in-person workshops as well as virtual studio visits.

Jurors Lee McCaffree, and Deborah Shaw met in May, selecting 48 artworks from 150 entries. Artists included are from the US, Australia, Canada, Chile, France, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, and the UK. Of the 48 artists included, ten of these have never before been included in an ASBA international exhibition.

The following artists' work has been accepted for exhibition:

Helen Byers, Claudia Campazzo, Sophie Chartier, Yoona Chea, Hyunjin Cho, Mary Crabtree, Rebecca Davies, Antoaneta Denkin, Dorothy DePaulo, Carrie DiCostanzo, Mary Dillon, Crystal Driedger, Sharon Duplantis, Jean Emmons, Akiko Enokido, Christiane Fashek, Damodar Lal Gurjar, Sora Han, Yoko Harada, Asuka Hishiki, Karen Kluglein, Claudia Lane, Curly Lieber, Lucy Martin, Tammy McEntee, Shiere Melin, John Pastoriza-Piñol, Sally Petru, Anne Pieussergues Dherbicourt, Linda Powers, Dick Rauh, Gillian Rice, Betsy Rogers-Knox, Alice Rosa, Constance Scanlon, Mitsuko Schultz, Liz Shippam, Heidi Snyder, Myra Sourkes, Halina Steele, Vi Strain, Wako Tashiro, Susan Tomlinson, Julia Trickey, Donnett Vanek, Denise Walser-Kolar, and, Carol Woodin

As part of the exhibition, the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists (NCSBA) will mount a Chapter exhibition of their sketchbook exchange project in the upper gallery.

The sketchbook exchange project was organized with the goal of providing a low-key, non-stressful opportunity to try out new ideas and connect with other artists. The focus was botanical art but with a more casual approach. All types of media were welcome and everyone was encouraged to experiment, explore, and enjoy creating in an atmosphere with few restrictions.

Participating chapter members sent small sketchbooks to each other every month during a ten-month period in 2022 to 2023. Over 30 artists are represented in the exhibition.

Other events in the series include:

September 23: award-winning botanical artist Akiko Enokido will demonstrate the technique of adding transmitted light using watercolor and colored pencil on paper.

October 6: join artist Lee McCaffree to do quick sketches in the gardens without concern for perfection. All levels of experience are welcome.

On November 8, travel to the UK virtually for a studio tour with artist Julia Trickey. Julia has hosted numerous artists and others in her own series of webinars, now we have a chance to host her and learn more about her own studio set-up, working methods, and techniques. The one-hour session will allow 45 minutes of tour and demonstration, and 15 minutes for a Q & A.
