The Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville, California is the setting for the 25th annual world peace and summer solstice gathering, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival presented by Epiphany Artists. The event brings together artists from around the world for a three day festival that has its origins in the Sierra Nevada mountain range foothills.
Beginning Friday afternoon, June 22nd bands perform in two areas of the fairgrounds, the Valley stage and the Village stage, while children’s activities are held in the Kids Zone. Dance and drum troupes perform throughout the weekend and in a parade held on Saturday and Sunday. An international food and craft bazaar, free yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday and late night authentic Caribbean style dancehall make for a complete weekend of fun!
Curated by the owner/operator Warren Smith for the past 25 years, the festival is noted for hosting a diverse roster of Reggae artists from across the globe, many of whom make their U.S. debut on the SNWMF stage.
