Lightning in a Bottle 2025 Lineup Headlined by Jamie XX, Khruangbin, John Summit, Underworld
The Do LaB, organizers of the annual Lightning in a Bottle (LiB) Festival, have announced the lineup for 2025. The next edition of LiB, taking place May 21st – 25th at Buena Vista Aquatic Recreational Area in Kern County, will be headlined by John Summit, Khruangbin, Jamie XX, and Underworld.
English musician Jamie XX, who performs solo and as a member of the indie pop band the xx, headlines the bill, along with psych rock band Khruangbin, house and techno act John Summit, and electronic duo Underworld.
Additional artists performing this year include London-based trap talent TroyBoi, MNTRA from Justin Martin’s new San Francisco based record label What To Do, deep tribal dance musician Gru.di, underground bass producer Episcool, UK garage artist Interplanetary Criminal, British grime MC and record producer Flowdan, drum and bass performer Bou, and West Coast bass act O’Snap. See further below for the full lineup of musical performers.
The community campout has been a tradition for over 20 years, featuring more than just live music performances. Beyond camping, LiB has a large shoreline area along a Buena Vista Lake with designated swimming areas and daily yoga sessions to relax, renew, and refresh. There will also be talks and workshops, along with an artisan marketplace.
In total, the festival has seven stages, offering both 3-day and 5-day passes to the Memorial Day gathering. General admission, VIP, and car camping options are on sale Friday, December 6th. If you’ve never been, LiB is an amazing experience and it’s a pretty quick five hour drive from SF.
