Audium’s New Sound Experience is Coming to Town
From our first days in the womb, sound helps shape us. Subconscious or overt, our connection to sound is well-established. And only after considering sound in this “deep thought” way can we begin to understand how the creators of Audium approach their medium. Although they’ve been doing it for over 45 years, they spent two years working on this new show. Debuting next week, Audium 11 furthers their pioneering exploration of space in music with new compositions by the father-son duo Stan and Dave Shaff; reimagining the 176-speaker Audium space.
“This new work is taking the language of immersive, spatial environments to new levels,” says Stan Shaff. “Audiences will feel sound as it bumps up against them, caresses, covers and enfolds them.”
