Outside Lands Takes It Higher and Higher

Outside Lands Music Festival continues its evolution beyond music. When the festival started, back in 2008, of course, there was the music, some art, and the decent food and drink offering. But as the festivals has grown, now entering its second decade, like many other big “music” festivals, the promoters have made it a priority to make the weekend more of an experience; pairing amazing music with many of our region’s offerings.

And what’s Northern California know for the world over?

Hint: It’s not the food, wine, or beer; although those are pretty good too.

Answer: It’s the herb. And in the 21+ area known as Grass Lands, Outside Lands becomes the first large-scale California festival to allow both onsite consumption and retail sales of cannabis products (within the boundaries of Grass Lands). Sweet.

2019 cannabis partners include: Eaze, Cresco, Kiva Confections, Hi-Fi Hops, ABSOLUTEXTRACTS, Flow Kana, Cookies, BLOOM FARMS, PAX, Moxie, Binske, Eel River Organics & More. See the full list of Grass Lands Partners

“Grass Lands reflects the Outside Lands ethos of always being at the forefront of creating a dynamic festival experience for attendees. To enter Grass Lands, festival attendees will have to show government-issued photo I.D. demonstrating they are at least 21-years-old. As with Taste of the Bay Area and Wine Lands, many of Grass Lands brands are local to the Bay Area, including 4 San Francisco retail partners.”

So, this year, instead of having to travel to breweries in the North Bay, Dogpatch, and Oakland… or day-trip out to Sonoma or Napa to do a tasting or two… or popping into a cannabis shop for herb or ganja-infused nibbles… it’s like, whatever your mood, Outside Lands has what you need.

Enjoy the festival!

Reminder: A full day in the park calls for some planning. Know the set times. Wear broken in shoes; because you’ll be traipsing back and forth and back again. Load a little string bag with your essentials. Suggestions: a blanket, jacket, extra pair of socks, water bottle, hat, and shades.
