San Francisco’s tough business landscape is well established, so Greens Restaurant’s 40th birthday is a major reason to party. To mark the occasion properly, the vegetarian destination in Fort Mason invited a few familiar faces to participate in a dinner series commemorating the occasion. The festive series, launching July 9th, features well-known chefs Alice Waters (Chez Panisse), Reem Assil (Reem’s), Tanya Holland (Brown Sugar Kitchen), Suzette Gresham (Acquerello), Pam Mazzola (Prospect), and Kim Alter (Nightbird).

Spread out over the course of several months, the dinners will challenge each chef to create a four-course vegetarian prix fixe meal; inspired by Greens’ recipes. Given each chefs’ range and diverse background, we’re in for a treat.
