Organizers behind the Outside Lands Music festival unveiled the complete 2019 music lineup, headlined by alternative duo Twenty One Pilots, Donald Glover’s alter-ego Childish Gambino, and singer-songwriter Paul Simon.
Additional standout artists appearing on this year’s bill include Australian electronic producer Flume, country songstress Kacey Musgraves, folk group The Lumineers, along with pop-punk band Blink-182, Norwegian house act Kygo, rappers Lil Wayne and Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, along with R&B singer Mavis Staples, and rockers Counting Crows.
Update: The festival weekend continues with some of the artists who are playing Outside Lands, also playing in SF and Oakland – the Outside Lands Night Shows lineup is here! 13 concerts from August 8th – 11th, this is your chance to catch some of our favorite festival artists for intimate performances.
Paul Simon confirmed his participation at Outside Lands 2019 earlier last week, despite a previous announcement that he is retiring from touring. Simon will close out the festival on Sunday, donating all proceeds from his performance to a local environmental non-profit organization. The early headliner announcement was the first time in the Outside Lands’ 12-year history.
Beyond the music, Outside Lands has a number of congruent experiences, such as Beer Lands, Wine Lands, and the newer Grass Lands, a curated area focused on cannabis. The Barbary will once again offer comedians, along with podcasts and the D.A.V.E. series (Discussions About Virtually Everything), which will open and expand on issues affecting people and their community.
The three-day music festival in Golden Gate Park takes place August 9th – 11th, 2019. Tickets go on-sale March 28th at 10am.
