Internationally Recognized Red Bull Music Hosts Oakland Block Party Showcasing Bay Area DJs

Red Bull Music, which hosts a world-traveling series of music events, also responsible for the music institution Red Bull Music Academy, is throwing a block party in Oakland on Saturday, July 28th. Bringing together talents from the local nightlife scene for a one-night celebration, the event celebrates the next generation of DJs breathing new life into the scene.

The show will tell the story of how DJs have shaped Oakland’s music scene into a cultural hub, including artist collectives like Club Chai, Another Party Fam, The 45 Sessions, B-side Brujas, NVR OVR, Smart Bomb, and other special guests will perform, each with their own visual set designs. Tickets cost only $5 in advance or $10 at the door.

The event will take place at the historic Geoffrey’s Inner Circle in Downtown Oakland. Established in 1993, the once-shuttered nightclub was recently recognized by the City of Oakland for its contributions to the community and local culture. It is one of the few remaining Black-owned nightlife venues in town. Geoffrey’s pays homage to the previous generation of Oakland’s thriving music heritage.
