FREE Event: 2018 Fillmore Jazz Festival to Pay Tribute to Bay Area Jazz from the ’90s

The free and always-fun Fillmore Jazz Festival returns for the 34th consecutive two-day celebration of Bay Area and national jazz acts. This year, the festival focuses on ’90s throwbacks, paying tribute to the success of San Francisco’s music scene during that time.

Fillmore Jazz Festival is considered the largest free jazz festival on the West Coast, featuring twelve blocks of music, food, arts and crafts. Artists will perform across multiple stages while visitors groove to the sound of live music, indulge in global cuisines, and discover artwork like paintings and pottery.

Popular Bay Area bands reuniting for the weekend’s festival include The Mo’Fessionals, Alphabet Soup, Jungle Biskit, Dogslyde, Marshall Arts, along with Lavay Smith, the Broun Felinis and many more. Kim Nalley will once again headline Saturday’s festivities on the California Street Stage. More musical acts and entertainment will be announced soon. See below for a complete calendar of live performances.
