While the 2018 Coachella lineup is bursting at the seams, the Do LaB Stage remains the place to be for electronic music fans to congregate and catch the more experimental, and often up-and-coming EDM acts. It seems to have an ecosystem of its own and the Do LaB organizers have invited tons of heavy hitters to play this year, including Oakland-based duo Dimond Saints (consisting An-Ten-Ae and Re|eece), South African electronic act GoldFish, Brooklyn-based bass artist DJ Luca Lush, and a bunch of the Dirtybird members.

As with previous years, the Do LaB lineup differs between the first and second weekend of the festival. Fortunately, new this year, the stage will host two surprise acts per day, for both weekends. Past surprise guests on the stage have ranged from Major Lazer and Skrillex to Bonobo and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED). There’s no doubt that this year will have just as explosive talent popping up at the stage to close out each night.

In terms of the Dirtybird artists on the lineup this year, record label co-founder Christian Martin will be playing a back-to-back set with his pal Worthy, while Ardalan will be paired up to do some damage with electronica artist Sacha Robotti. A few additional standout performers worth seeing are tech-house duo Thugfucker, future bass talent Kasbo, and deep house artist Monolink.

The impressive stage will once again be constructed by the Do LaB crew, who work tirelessly through the night leading up to the festival to build a unique shade structure and bass-friendly dance space. It’s unclear what design the organizers have in store for 2018, but expect it once again be a thing of beauty during the day, and even more impressive at night. As they say, just Do LaB.
