All the Best Deals from San Francisco and Oakland’s Restaurant Weeks
There’s no better way to kick off 2018 than with a scrumptious selection of great restaurant deals. And in the Bay Area, we’re doubling up on the good fortune with two back-to-back restaurant weeks: one in Oakland (January 11-21st) and the other in San Francisco (January 22-31st).
With all the tempting and alluring discounted lunches and dinners, there’s no way to try them all. Well, maybe someone can. But if you want to know what to check out and what to shelve, we’re here to help.
San Francisco
August (1) Five $40 dinner: the beautiful Indian restaurant offers a pampering three-course dinner, which includes a choice of lamb biryani or masterfully prepared trout, an appetizer, and a sweet finish.
Buffalo Theory $40 dinner: the quirky Tenderloin spot is offering up a four-course feast featuring lobster, short ribs and sticky rice. Enough said.
China Live $25 lunch: an appetizer or dim sum, one of the signature dishes (we have our eyes on the Sichuan prawns) and an opportunity to finally try the Chinese emporium.
The Alembic $40 dinner: if the menu is similar to the restaurant’s four course menu, you’ll be in luck.
The Saratoga $40 dinner: the fancy Tenderloin eatery awaits, with a four-course extravaganza featuring hamachi tartar, gourmet tater tots and a sophisticated take on Ho-Hos, the ever-so delish junk food classic.
Oakland
Slainte $30 dinner: enjoy the Irish bar’s shepherd’s pie, fish and chips and more. Beer isn’t included, but highly recomended.
Reem’s $20 lunch: try the amazing bakery’s sweet and savory pastries for a modest price.
Lake Chalet $40 dinner: the Lake Merritt prime spot offers an elegant dinner with a choice of scallops or steak, an appetizer, and tiramisu.
Dopo $40 dinner: One of Oakland’s finest establishments, the romantic Piedmont restaurant offers a festive Italian feast with cold and hot antipasti, pasta, and dessert.
KronnerBurger $40 dinner: this option, with the restaurant’s legendary hamburger, comes with a glass of beer or a carbonated margarita.
