2018 Fire & Light Soiree and Art Auction

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Held at The Crucible, this artistic evening of fire and light begins with cocktails, followed by a delicious dinner, and fiery performances. Where else can you dine underneath a fire cloud and experience a spectacular performance designed by Crucible Founder Michael Sturtz? The evening continues with an exceptional live auction, where you can expand your art collection by bidding on stunning works by prominent local artists.

The 2018 Fire & Light Soiree and Art Auction, our signature fundraiser, sustains The Crucible’s one-of-a-kind industrial arts education programs. You can make an exciting impact while celebrating in blazing style.

Honoree Charles R. Olson

Celebrate the contributions and vision of honoree Charles R. Olson, past President of the Crucible Board of Directors and Partner in the San Francisco law firm of Lubin Olson & Niewiadomski LLP. Charles’ long-time commitment to the industrial arts has left a lasting legacy. Charles has provided pro bono legal services to The Crucible on various land use, real estate and contract issues since The Crucible was located in Berkeley, and he was instrumental in helping The Crucible acquire its West Oakland building. He served for many years on the Crucible’s Emeritus Advisory Board, and served as President of the Crucible’s Board of Directors from 2012-2017. Through his consistent, stable leadership and counsel, the Crucible has grown to serve over 10,000 annually.

Your generosity keeps The Crucible’s fires burning.

The complete Art Auction catalog will be announced in March.
