Neighborhood-friendly not-for-profit festival Phono del Sol has just announced the music lineup for their 7th annual 2017 event, which includes a variety of national acts and exciting up-and-comers. Most of the talent is from the Bay Area, including San Francisco’s own Thee Oh Sees headlining the June 17 afternoon delight.
Additional musical acts performing this year at Potrero del Sol Park include female rock quartet The Coathangers, Oakland shoegaze act Jay Som, North Carolina-bred but San Francisco-rooted singer-songwriter Sean Hayes. There will also be performances by SF resident hip hop artist DUCKWRTH, eclectic Oakland act Bells Atlas, indie rockers Never Young, Richmond native and R&B singer-songwriter Rayana Jay, Oakland-by-way-of-Seattle songwriter Madeline Kenney, and indie-psych sextet Tino Drima.
The festival entrance will be located at 25th and Utah Street, with doors opening at 12pm. A limited amount of first-come first serve bike parking will also be available. Beyond the music, there will also be a variety of great food and drink options, including beer on tap from Petaluma-based festival sponsor Lagunitas Brewing company. Phono del Sol is a production of independent music outlet The Bay Bridged and presented by analog-centric recording studio Tiny Telephone. Similar to previous years, a portion of the ticket sales proceeds from the festival will support the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.
