The New East Bay Open Studios is a free annual art event that brings the art-loving public together with artists in the East Bay. This year’s event begins on Friday, June 2 with a festive Opening Celebration/Preview Exhibition and After-Party at the historical 16th Street Train Station in West Oakland. The Opening is by invitation only, so to be added to our guest list please visit - http://eastbayopenstudios.com/guest - to receive an invitation. The Preview Exhibition will feature 100 of the participating artists who will be welcoming guests and displaying samples of their work for them. There will be live entertainment and refreshments. The Preview Exhibition begins at 6 pm and finishes up at 9 pm. The After-Party follows at 9:30 at the same location and is hosted and sponsored by Salle des Artistes, a San-Francisco-based art organization. There will be a cash bar, food options, and inspiring live performances. Our sponsors are requesting a suggested $15 donation to help support the performers. The After-Party will end at midnight. The Opening Celebration is then followed by two inspiring weekends of artist open studios and exhibitions on June 10/11 and 17/18 from 11 am - 6 pm. During the two weekends of open studios, the public is invited into the studios and exhibition spaces of over 200 artists in 15 cities throughout the East Bay. Visitors plan their self-guided art tours by using our online artist directories and maps, or digital guidebook; or by picking up a printed copy of our guidebook at our Opening, or at venues listed on our website at
