Noise Pop Reboots Podcast With New Host and Producer

Championing independent music and culture, Noise Pop, launches its podcast reboot to showcase noteworthy and soon-to-be-buzzing new music. The Noise Pop Podcast has new a host, journalist Adrian Spinelli (from music magazine Paste, San Francisco Chronicle, and festival blog Fest300), and producer Ashleyanne Krigbaum (local SF public radio station KALW).

In addition to highlighting new releases from the independent and underground music scene, the podcast will conduct interviews and discuss larger topics on the state of independent music. Their first episode will highlight imminent 2016 releases from Oxnard rapper Anderson .Paak, Canadian electronic pop group Junior Boys, New York indie rock band School of Seven Bells, and San Francisco-based alternative folk rock group Thao and The Get Down Stay Down.

Later in January, the podcast will dive into the Brazilian musical roots of contemporary releases, with input from Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza and Keith Brower-Brown of Oakland indie pop band Trails and Ways. In February, they will explore to the home of Anthony Ferraro of Astronaut’s Etc, to hear favorite selections from his personal record collection. The podcast will also bring listeners an exclusive behind-the-scenes listen into this year’s Noise Pop Festival in February and March.
