San Francisco’s DJ Earworm Releases Massive Mashup ‘United State of Pop 2015’

With New Years just around the corner, it’s that time of year again for SF-based mashup artist Jordan Roseman (aka DJ Earworm) to his top tracks from the year to make the ultimate playlist. The five-minute compilation, titled, “United State of Pop 2015 (50 Shades of Pop),” incorporated the 50 top tracks from 2015.

The local producer started his annual tradition back in 2007, and kept the recurring mix going after tons of positive feedback. Last years’ edition, “United State of Pop 2014 (Do What You Wanna Do),” used 25 songs, so this year he upped the anti by increasing the number of tracks to 50. Earworm dropped the 2015 edition a few weeks ago, and it makes for a perfect New Years party tune.

Pop queen Taylor Swift leads all artists with five tracks featured in the mega mix, while The Weeknd and Justin Bieber each have three inclusions. Other noteworthy artists with two tracks include singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, trap queen Fetty Wap, Rihanna, Diplo, and Meghan Trainor. It’s no surprise that many of the artists in the 2015 United State of Pop mashup are also on the list of 2016 Grammy nominees. Listen to the full mix below and see the complete list of incorporated tracks.
