OutKast’s 2014 Reunion Expands Beyond Coachella

After announcing their first performance in over a decade, OutKast’s Big Boi and André 3000 revealed plans for a worldwide festival tour in 2014 “to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their unique and influential sound.” The reunion begins with a headlining set both Fridays at Coachella and will continue to more than 40 additional music festivals during the spring and summer, according to the duo.

Outside of a confirmed appearance at New York City’s Governors Ball, specific dates have not yet been revealed, but let’s hope Outside Lands is on their list. We’ll supply updates as more details are released. Full statements by the Atlanta hip hop duo regarding the announcement below:

Big Boi: “It’s truly an honor to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose. Don’t just think outside the box, know that there is no box. I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans—stank you smelly much, this is for y’all!

André 3000: “And imagine, all we wanted to do was rap! I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it. Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast.
