Scouring San Francisco for the Best Burritos

The go-to answer now a days to many questions is – there’s an app for that. Well, when it comes to navigating the best taquerias in San Francisco, now there truly is an app for that.

Introducing the Burritoeater app, created by Glen Park-based writer and editor Charles Hodgkins. Hodgkins has reviewed over 950 burritos – and counting in San Francisco since 2003. And his new iPhone app now names the top 30 taquerias in San Francisco.

In explaining the app, Hodgkins said he hopes to steer diners clear of those bland, mediocre burritos. Each of the app’s taqueria listings gives users specific ordering recommendations, an exterior image of the taqueria and also a detailed restaurant description. Every listing is also GPS-enabled and includes one-touch dialing and turn-by-turn directions.

The listings will also be updated regularly so that users can stay on top of San Francisco’s burrito scene.

The app can be purchased (for $1.99) at the Apple iPhone App Store with an Android version expected soon.
