Kitchit Entices with One Night Stand

Kitchit, which pairs consumers directly with professional chefs for anything from gastronomical adventures to dinner parties, is pairing up with A Temporary Offering (A.T.O.) on a series of pop-up dinners on Saturday nights.

The Kitchit “One Night Stands” kicks off on Saturday, October 27 with Chef James Simpkins featuring an American Gothic dinner. Simpkins has been one of the most popular chefs on Kitchit and is also the author of a cookbook on beer pairings.

Chef Simpkins’ menu, listed below, will feature his own unique take on American cuisine.

Brown Sugar Brined Pork

Smoked Cabbage, Apples

Autumnal Vegetable Stew

Lima Beans, Squashes, Kale

Magruder Beef Shank

Red Wine, Spices

Grandpa’s Buckle

Figs, Farmers Cheese, Honey

Beer pairings will also be available or guests can BYOB or purchase drinks at the neighboring Bon Vivants bar Rio Grande. The dinner is $60 per person.

Seatings will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The dinners will be held at A Temporary Offering, which is located at the Renoir Hotel (1106 Market Street, between 6th and 7th). This will be the first in a weekly series of dinners to be held every Saturday night through December 15.
