This week’s best gallery openings include SF Station and Lomography’s Get Hungry!, a new show by David Buckingham and a big, juried photography exhibit at RayKo.

This Thursday, SF Station and Lomography present Get Hungry!, at the Lomography Gallery Store. Walls will be lined with plastic-lens food photography that even the harshest food(ie) critics will drool over. Luckily, there will be sandwiches from Bun Mee, burgers from Food Network star Tom Pizzica, and adult drinks from Trumer Pils, to the onslaught of hunger.

Type-happy artist, David Buckingham presents his latest, Hell is Other People, this Thursday at Cain Schulte Contemporary Art. In his sixth solo exhibition at CSCA, Buckingham explores America-based themes including guns, capitalism, gender and Occupy Wall Street (which influenced his above piece, “Die Yuppie Scum”).

In conjunction with The Society for Photographic Education‘s national conference (held in SF this year) a new photography show, Voyeurism and Intimacy: The Public/Private Divide in Photography, opens this Saturday, at RayKo Photo Center. The exhibit, juried by Todd Hido, will display 40 pieces (from 36 different photographers), narrowed down from 1200 submissions. Hido will announce the “Best of Show” winner at the opening reception this Saturday.
