Gallery Openings: R.H. Quaytman, Sickboy & The Electric Works Moving Sale

This week’s top gallery events include the Electric Works Moving Sale, plus a new show at White Walls, and a lecture at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Electric Works is moving! The new location is yet to be revealed, but to to help clear out their SoMa digs, they’re having a moving sale. This Friday and Saturday, enjoy 40-70% off books, 50% store merch, 50% off mini prints, and more (including some special pieces from storage).

UK artist, Sickboy, will open his debut US solo show, Wonder Club, this Saturday at White Walls. The exhibit will feature eight large-scale pieces, surrounded by installations, creating a dream-like interior, influenced by comic books, fairytales, Romanticism and the Age of Enlightenment. The exhibit will run through April 7.

On Monday, R.H. Quaytman will speak at the San Francisco Art Institute as part of the Visiting Artists and Scholars Lecture Series. Based in NYC, Quaytman works as a writer, curator and painter, with work  shown in several major museums around the world.
