Sea Lions Celebrated at Pier 39
Celebrating 22 years at Pier 39, the famed sea lions will be honored with special events all weekend long.
Through Sunday, January 22, the public is invited to Pier 39’s “Sea Life Encounter,” a free 30-minute educational walking tour hosted by the Aquarium by the Bay and The Marine Mammal Center Naturalists. Tours begin on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the top of the hour from 11-4 each day.
Guests will learn about the sea lions, marine life and Bay conservation as well.
If interested, guests should meet naturalists at the Sea Lion Statue near the Blue & Gold Fleet ticket kiosk.
Those who participate in the walking tour will also receive half-off admission to Aquarium by the Bay, half-off Blue & Gold Fleet Bay Cruise Adventure tickets and 10 percent off purchases at The Marine Mammal Center Store during event days.
