The University of San Francisco (USF) will host Alvin E. Roth, 2012 Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences, to present his knowledge and application of his complex field of study. Presented by the University of San Francisco’s School of Management, this event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
This is the 2nd Annual Finance and Economics Speaker series presented by the USF School of Management. Founded by Dr. Ludwig Chincarini, Associate Professor of Finance and Economics, the series was created to draw in renowned members in their respective fields to share their knowledge with the USF community. The setting provides opportunities to learn and interact with the featured speakers.
Dr. Alvin E. Roth is currently the Craig and Susan McCaw Professor of Economics at Stanford University and previously was the Gund Professor of Economics and Business Administration Emeritus at Harvard University. He graduated from Columbia University earning his masters and doctorate in operations research. Roth’s career is marked by significant contributions to the economic field by applying theory to real-world issues. Roth received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2012.
