Boxing Room Begins Lunch Service

Boxing Room, the Louisiana-style Hayes Valley restaurant that opened in June, is starting lunch service on Monday.

The restaurant will now be open at 11:30 a.m. Monday-Friday.

The opening menu includes an heirloom tomato salad with cane vinaigrette and basil, a roast beef po’ boy with gravy and steak fries and a limited quantity of Muffuletta sandwiches, which are well-known in the New Orleans area.

The restaurant has garnered mostly positive reviews in the first few months of being open.

Chef Justin Simoneaux, a Southern Louisiana native, brings traditional Cajun and Creole dishes to diners with Absinthe Group Pastry Chef Bill Corbett, formerly of Coi, providing classic New Orleans desserts.
