Art on Market Street

A new series of six posters will fetter bus shelters on Market Street between 8th Street and the Embarcadero starting next Monday.

San Francisco-based visual artist Ian Huebert is set to install his posters series entitled “The Golden Spoke” from August through the month of October. Funded by the San Francisco Arts Commision, these posters will feature bicyclists zooming through San Francisco streets.

Some have witty phrases beneath the images like the young person on a fixie above the caption “But, I Don’t Have A Car” while some show the simple realities of bike-riding: going to the market or riding through the hazy fog.

Keep an eye out for these vibrant, colorful works of art.
