Four Fast Food Chains Get Poor Marks

A new Consumer Reports survey of subscribers has found that fast food chains Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald’s and Taco Bell are the worst of those surveyed, mainly because of an uninspiring menu.

The report was based on more than 98,000 visits to 53 chains. Those four chains also got poor marks for only so-so service and not offering enough value. Arby’s, Quiznos, Domino’s and Pizza Hut also received relatively poor scores.

On the other hand, several other eateries were lauded for their “good deals” and better meals. Included on that list were In-N-Out Burger, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Chick-fil-A and Papa Murphy’s Take ‘N’ Bake Pizza.

The survey found that many diners were looking for a number of different things when eating out, including better food, better bang for their buck, a better dining experience and quicker service.
