While it may not be warm enough in parts of the Bay Area, participating 7-Eleven convenience stores are marking the chain’s birthday with free Slurpees.

7-Eleven has grown into 8,600 stores in North America and more than 41,000 worldwide.

The Dallas-based company estimates that its participating stores will dish out more than five million 7.11-ounce Slurpees across the country on Monday.

The giveaway ends at midnight.
