After months of waiting, UK chain Fresh & Easy has finally opened up its first SF branch in the Richmond district (32nd Avenue and Clement). The store specializes in fresh, prepared food items and affordable, quality produce. As their coupons state, “wholesome food, not whole paycheck.”

According to the Richmond SF blog, “The store looks great with polished concrete floors, bright, wide aisles, nicely packaged food and a wide variety of food and brands. Fresh & Easy is well known for their own branded food, and you can’t miss it in every section of the store.”

With so many neighborhood markets closing down these past two years (De Lano’s, Bell, Albertson’s etc.) it’s good to see something new opening up, especially in communities that need a good supermarket.
