For the first time, the city of Oakland is celebrating California Restaurant Month by hosting its own version of Dine About Town.

Oakland Restaurant Week began on Sunday and runs through this Saturday. Many restaurants in town are offering specials of between $20-40 on lunch and dinner.

Most of the dining destinations are also offering wine pairings with their prix fixe menus.

Oakland Restaurant Week is sponsored by Visit Oakland and organizers strongly suggest making reservations if you plan to visit any of the restaurants on the list.
