Wacky circus dining experience and tourist magnet Teatro ZinZanni may be singing for the supper soon. As Grub Street reports, the venue, situated on Pier 29, will “have to pack up and move on next year, as the Port of S.F. clears the way for the America’s Cup race in 2013.” Damn you white-clad, privileged, sun-kissed sailors – now where will we take our grandmother and visiting relatives?

The restaurant has been operating for 10 years and occupies a tent that is over a 100 years old (perhaps it’s time for an update?) and consists of a mind-boggling 3,000 parts suspended together through pressure. Looks like moving is going to be quite a task.
