Filmmaker Sam Green (AIR '02) and musician JD Samson (AIR '15) team up, presenting an excerpt from their work-in-progress live cinema project 32 Sounds. Green, an Academy Award nominee (The Weather Underground) is well known for the unforgettable and endearing live cinematic form he's developed, centering on his performative narrational style. Here he collaborates with Samson, best known for her involvements in the bands Le Tigre and Men and as a vital advocate for LGBTQ and feminist causes. Green sheltering in Austin and Samson in Brooklyn, developed this work at a distance and also present it that way in this one time only online, live audiovisual experience.
