June is upon us as we enter the latter part of 2008. This is a good time to look at your New Year's Resolutions and gauge your progress thus far. Or...you could ignore such Type-A suggestions and just enjoy the beginning of summer -- or as we like to refer to it in SF -- the season of fog. On Wednesday night transform yourself into a "replicant" for the Blade Runner Tribute at the Rickshaw Stop. A nice trench coat would do you well in this weather! You could also squirrel yourself away into a theater for a movie marathon like the Another Hole in the Head horror/sci-fi/fantasy fest at the Roxie New College Film Center. Quite possibly the best-titled play ever to be held on the venerable stage of A.C.T., "Tis' Pity She's a Whore", proves that naughty acts never go stale. Check it out for yourself this weekend. On Saturday, the not-to-be-missed party seems to be the BFD After-Party at Mezzanine with MSTRKFRT and Moby. And if doing the actual dancing is too much for you, then the SF Ethnic Dance Festival, which opens this weekend at the Palace of Fine Arts, is your best alternative. Speaking of alternatives...don't forget about one of the city's favorite, and quirkiest, street fairs -- the Haight-Ashbury Street Fair happening on Sunday.
