Deep East Welcomes Mozaic and Rob Monroy at Lounge 3411

Every week, Deep East, puts together a lineup of seasoned and up-and-coming DJs from around the Bay Area in the heart of Oakland at Lounge 3411 for a free party.

Each night is hosted by an East Bay resident seeking to share his or her taste in dance music as they explore the depths of house and techno. On August 15, Deep East brings a couple of Raindance DJs, Mozaic and Rob Monroy, to the cozy club as an afterthought for the Raindance campout. Mozaic and Rob Monroy have been integrated in the rave scenes from SF down to Santa Cruz for a minute now and will offer a trained ear for solid mixing with an eclectic track selection.

Mozaic tastefully blurs genre lines, from UK garage to deep tech to acid house. He recently released an EP with Eprom as Hookerz & Blow on SF’s Dirtybird imprint. You can check out his recent mix inspired by cold weather here.

Rob Monroy first came into contact with the SF scene in its wild beginnings with the Wicked Full Moon parties. The team of British transplants served as inspiration for his DJ career before he joined fellow Santa Cruzians in Raindance. You can check out his Lunarcast mix here.

Rounding out the night is resident Nackt, who has roots in soul, funk, and hip hop, but spins a variety of dance music encompassing house, techno, and UK bass styles.
