Mission Cheese Gets Later Hours

Call it a win for the small guys. After a year-long battle, Mission Cheese has been granted later hours by the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control.

Calling it “Operation Jubilation,” owner Sarah Dvorak had filed the application for later hours last April. Through a lot of perseverance and the support of many in the community through a letter writing campaign, Mission Cheese posted a note on its Facebook page on Wednesday, with the later hours set to begin on Friday, May 31.

The hours will be as follows: Tuesday-Thursday from 11:00am – 9:00pm, Friday-Saturday from 11:00am – 10:00pm and on Sunday from 11:00am – 9:00pm. The restaurant remains closed on Mondays. It is important to note that although they have been approved by the ABC, all beer and wine consumption must take place indoors after 8:00pm and that also goes for Cheese Garden beer and wine consumption.

Mission Cheese is located at 736 Valencia Street (between 18th and 19th) in San Francisco.
