The Past and the Future of Street Art

Coming soon to Intersection for the Arts is Motion Graphics: In and Beyond the Street, a group exhibition featuring six artists that make interactions with the public sphere an integral part of their craft.

Participants in the exhibition include muralist and painter Ricardo Richey, Evan Bissell, Ana Teresa Fernandez, Chad Hasegawa, Favianna Rodriguez and Eric Staller.

Displayed throughout the work of this diverse collection of painters, muralists, printmakers, and sculptors presenting in the exhibition is a devotion to an exploration of street art and street culture and the clever incorporation of the objects of civic life.

The public opening reception will be Wednesday, June 13, 2012, from 7 pm to 9pm with free entrance. After the opening, the exhibition will be on view from June 13 to August 25, Tuesday through Saturday, noon to  6 pm.
