Do you love to sing and perform? Do you think you have what it takes to win a recording contract worth $5 Million? Do you desperately want Simon Cowell to publicly demean you? Then get those vocal chords ready – “The X-Factor” auditions are this weekend.

This is your moment to shine in the spotlight. Registration has already begun for the open auditions of Season 2 of the “The X-Factor” being held in the Cow Palace this Friday. You can sing on your own or be part of a group. But whatever you do – you better bring it.

Registration officially started yesterday, April 18 and will continue through today. You will need to register down at the Cow Palace in order to audition. According to organizers, “Remember, if you wait until the audition day to register you will be one of the last people to register and we may run out of space or time to accommodate you. Once you have registered, you will be given a wristband and a seating ticket and asked to return on the audition day.” Registration does NOT guarantee you the opportunity to audition.

NBC News reports that thousands of hopefuls have already flocked to Daly City. The average wait seems to be 4 hours. It’s a good thing we have beautiful weather this week!
