This month, chef Russell Jackson launched a special value priced Mondays menu at his Embarcadero restaurant Lafitte on Pier 5.

Monday is typically a slow restaurant day. So this follows similar promotions like Jardiniere’s Monday Night Dinners, to help boost business. The deal runs until March 26.

The lunch offer is dubbed “Soup and Sannie Monday,” a gourmet soup and sandwich combo for $12, available from noon until 2 pm.

Monday dinner features a three course prix fixe for $39, served from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. The dinner choices will always include a vegetarian option. To give you a better idea of what to expect, see last week’s menu below.

Champignon Sauvage Sugo en Pâtisserie – wild mushroom sugo in pastry

Crabe Local et Bisque Lavender – spicy Dungeness crab and lavender bisque

Chèvre Crotin wrapped in bacon and rosemary

Choices for 2nd course:

Ravioli de Panais – parsnip ravioli, brown butter and sage

Truite Rôtie de La Rivière Rouge – roasted river trout, prima maria beans, olive pistou

Morceau de Plat de Côtes Braisé de Boeuf – braised beef short rib, polenta and brussels

Dessert:

Flour-less chocolate almond cake and pear sugo
