On Sale Now: Pop-Up Magazine Issue 5

Tickets went on sale today at noon for Pop-Up Magazine Issue 5, the latest installment of the one-night only lit event November 9 at Davies Symphony Hall. There are still a handful of $18 seats, disappearing faster than everyone’s faith in Facebook.

UPDATE: This event is now sold out. Sorry, homies.

Pop-Up Magazine brings together writers, journalists, filmmakers and radio producers from The New Yorker, Harper’s, National Geographic, This American Life, Wired, and other notable literary powerhouses for a one-off onstage performance of “short moments of unseen, unheard work…obsessions and digressions…outtakes, arguments and live interviews.”

Of course, writers like to drink. And SF likes to drink. So after the exchange of words, everyone moves to the lobby bar throw a few back with the contributors.

Last year’s Issue 4 included appearances by Mary Roach, Eli Horowitz (McSweeney’s), Steven Leckart (WIRED), and Tim Dickinson (Rolling Stone), among others.
