Golden Gate Park will be buzzing this weekend, that’s for sure. We know that Hardly Strictly will be taking over Speedway Meadow, but another festival will be taking residence at the San Francisco County Fair Building: the 12^th Annual World Veg*n Festival, taking place this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.The World Veg*n Festival, hosted by the San Francisco Vegetarian Society, will feature international vegan cuisine, food demos, and even vegan speed dating. There will also be a variety of speakers on hand, including Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, Dr. Don Forrester and John and Ocean Robbins. On Saturday, attendees can stay for a vegan dinner (cooked $20, raw $22) catered by Lisa Brooks-Williams.

Admission is free for all before 10:30am; students, children and seniors are free all day and others are asked for an $8 donation at the door.
