Theater: Killing My Lobster, Project Boundless & Opera in the Park

This week, the stage is set for a unique sketch comedy trivia night, the 20th Anniversary preview of Project Boundless and the return of our Indian summer favorite, Opera in the Park.

This Thursday, put your thinking cap on and find a seat at Buck Tavern for Killing My Lobster Pops the Question, a sure-to-be hilarious trivia night and fundraiser for the beloved comedy troupe’s upcoming show.

Kick off your weekend with a death-defying, building-side performance by Project Boundless. The local company celebrates it’s 20th Anniversary with a show at Mint Plaza this Friday, and three shows in Oakland next week. Performances are free so no excuses — trust us, this is a must see.

On Sunday, pack a blanket (hopefully to sit on rather than wrap yourself in) for Opera in the Park, and enjoy low-key, non-fussy opera, free at Golden Gate Park. This year’s performance is  dedicated to the 10th anniversary of 9/11, and will feature the SF Opera’s orchestra, chorus and select soloists.
