Giants to be Honored at White House

The San Francisco Giants will be spending their off-day at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Continuing a time-honored sports tradition, the 2010 World Series champions will be honored at the White House on Monday afternoon by President Barack Obama.

The team will be recognized for their World Series victory last November over the Texas Rangers, the team’s first championship since moving to San Francisco in 1958.

President Obama is also expected to recognize the team’s service to the community.
