The great thing about Twitter is that you can pick up little nuggets of information here and there. And in the food industry, those little nuggets can turn into news.

Take for example this tweet Monday night from the Nom Nom Truck SF (@NomNomTrukSF). @nickono29 @nomnomtruck Ahhh you caught us! Launching soon, most likely next week :).

If you’re not familiar with the truck, it was heavily featured in the first edition of the Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race.” Jennifer Green and Misa Chien started the business in 2009, wanting to share their love for Vietnamese cuisine with the people of Southern California.

The menu features one of the staple of Vietnamese food, the banh mi sandwich, along with their own version of Vietnamese tacos and specialty drinks.

While not setting an official date, the Non Nom Truck team said the official schedule and launch will be announced shortly on Twitter and through their website. Another welcome addition to the San Francisco street food scene!
