French electro-rock trio Jamaica returned to San Francisco this week for an excited crowd at The Independent.

Denver band The Chain Gang of 1974, a favorite at SXSW this year, opened the show quickly draw the crowd toward the stage as the four members rapidly rotated several instruments during an energetic set. The stage was stripped down to a guitar, bass, and drum and previous Treasure Island Festival performers Jamaica took the stage to keep the poppy tunes playing. A couple hundred people bounced along as the likeable entertainers amused the crowd, at one point bringing two girls on stage to dance. Another highlight of the brief set was their hit song “I Think I Like U 2,” a feel-good anthem perfect for this sunny weather.
