In the often-serious world of dance music, it’s good to see somebody still having a bit of fun. Meet Wolfgang Gartner, a California native who began teaching himself how to produce music at 11 years old, syncing a drum machine to a keyboard to make tracks while most kids were playing Nintendo.

After more than a decade of pounding on music industry doors, Gartner found himself entering the center stage of the dance music world in 2008, and since then he has produced eight songs that have held the No. 1 position on the Beatport Top 10 Chart. Gartner has performed on almost every continent, along with sets at California’s own  Coachella Festival (2010) and Electric Daisy Carnival (2010). He performs April 7th at Ruby Skye.
