U.S. Census Bureau Results

Well, the results are in! Mayor Lee announced yesterday that much of the 2010 Census results have been tallied and are now available on-line for all to see. And while there is still some info that has not been released, the numbers so far are pretty interesting.

First of all, the population of San Francisco has grown 3.7% over the last ten years to 805,235 (wow, that’s really not that much) with there being more men than women. And if you spend hours combing through the Census results site, you can find out brilliant nuggets such as only 3.2% of the city identifies itself as mixed race and that SF is 15.1% Latino and 33% Asian. Fascinating.
