Instead of spending half your day stalking your fav street food carts and desperately trying to get to them before they are sold out of that curry or crème brûlée you’ve been dreaming about, now you can get the cart to come to you. Introducing the aptly named “Street Food 2 U” lunch delivery.

You can either enjoy items from select food carts at Mercury Lounge (1582 Folsom @12th), drop in and pick up your order from the restaurant or, for a minimum order of $35, someone can deliver it to you within the Civic Center and SOMA regions. So if you don’t happen to be in these two areas of SF, you’re still going to have to do some trekking. But at least you can sit down at a table while enjoying your lunch instead of having to share a urine-soaked patch of sidewalk with some homeless dude. Lunch service is 11am to 2pm.

SF Foodie reports that the Mercury Lounge launches the new program today, and that “highlights of today’s menu include green curry and spicy pork tacos from Magic Curry Kart, Cuban black bean soup and bacon crack from Nosh This, and apple-pear tartlets from Sweet Constructions.”
