Bernal Heights had their Holiday Evening Stroll yesterday, and now it’s time for the Mission to shine with the Mission Holiday Block Party. And this year the shops and restaurants are pulling out all the stops. You can literally finish all your shopping in this one neighborhood all while having a great time. The malls on Black Friday just don’t compare.

The event web site says it all: “The Mission is one of the most truly unique shopping, entertainment, dining, and residential neighborhoods in the world. Where else do you find world-class restaurants, great bars, a ton of independent boutiques owned and operated by San Franciscan residents, and not one non-SF grown chain store? Maybe other places pull that off for a block or three – But we do it from Market to 24th, Mission to Dolores, and we’ve been doing that way since 1907.”
