One night only: Join the Center for Biological Diversity for a May 3 screening of "Zan", a documentary about one of Earth's most endangered marine mammals -- the Okinawa dugong.
Using breathtaking underwater footage, the film explores the struggle of people in Okinawa, Japan, to protect these gentle manatee relatives.
"Zan: In Search of the Last of the Okinawan Dugong" exposes how a planned U.S. military airbase would destroy crucial habitat and wipe out this imperiled species.
Attorney/activist Miyoko Sakashita will introduce the film. Admission is free but please register at
