Your Health, Wellness & The Power of CBD

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Your Health, Wellness and the Power of CBD

CBD is trendy nowadays, and has become a well-known and often over used buzzword. But what is it really and can it really help improve you overall health and wellness? For many, the answer is “yes” and new science and research backs up this claim. CBD has been shown to eliminate anxiety, be an excellent anti-inflammatory, beat back chronic pain, excel as a neuroprotectant and even aid us in our quest for more youthful skin. A miracle? Maybe not quite that, but definitely worth a look, or maybe two.

In this interactive dialogue, we’ll talk about CBD basics, how it can be used for a variety of conditions, and how you can consume it, creating specific effects, such as increasing feelings of balance. We’ll also discuss why selecting high quality CBD is extremely important for your health and what to look for when purchasing new products.

This interactive discussion will be led by two moms, who also happen to be thought leaders in the cannabis space: HelloMD’s co-founder Pamela Hadfield and Claudia Mata, the founder of the well-known topicals company, Vertly. They’re women who are passionate about educating other women on the use of CBD and overall health and wellness.
This is a non cannabis consumption event.

Presenter Pamela Hadfield:
Pamela Hadfield is an entrepreneur, media personality & Co founder of HelloMD, the largest online community of health and wellness cannabis consumers. After suffering from debilitating migraines for much of her life, Pamela found relief using medical cannabis. She quickly found she was able to manage her migraine pain, and within 6 months prevented them altogether, eliminating her use of opioids. It was at this time that Pamela became a cannabis advocate and an early adopter to cannabis as the exit drug for the opioid epidemic.

Her personal experience, and an awareness of the stigma with cannabis consumption, led to the creation of HelloMD. A seasoned public speaker, she often presents keynote addresses across a variety of topics including; the health and wellness benefits of cannabis, 7 life lessons cannabis has taught me, macro trends in cannabis, cannabis and the creation of “flow state”, how cannabis may be the exit drug to the opioid epidemic, and more.

As a leading female executive and spokesperson, Pamela has been featured in multiple publications including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Forbes, Now This, Harper’s Bazaar, Tech Crunch and many others. In addition, she has collaborated on a study with UC Berkeley entitled “Cannabis Use as a Substitute for Opioid and Non-Opioid Based Pain Medication.” She’s been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, and in 2017, 7x7 magazine listed her as a “Hot 20: Perennial Bay Area Innovators”. Pamela is also featured in an upcoming book by Random House called “Roadmap for Revolutionaries: Resistance, Activism and Advocacy for All”.

Presenter Claudia Mata:
Claudia Mata is the co-founder of Vertly, a plant-based, clean beauty line that focuses on the natural wellness properties of CBD (the non-psychoactive component of cannabis). After relocating from New York City to the San Francisco Bay area in 2016, Mata immersed herself into a formal herbalism education, which she then merged with her husband’s background in cannabis to create what is now Vertly. Prior to this, Mata worked in fashion editorial in NYC for 12 years, most recently as the Accessories and Jewelry Director at W Magazine.  She still continues her role as the Contributing Jewelry Editor at Elle Décor with a monthly column.  Mata is based in Northern California, where she lives with her husband (Vertly co-founder and wellness expert Zander Gladish) and their two children.

About The Dailey Method:

Unlike other group classes, The Dailey Method ignites awareness through hands-on training and education.
