Yoga For The Boys at The Pad

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Join us for a yoga class at The Pad  in San Francisco by yoga instructor Ariel Morgan.
All proceeds go to helping at-risk boys in Kenya stay in school through 1:1 mentoring, extra curricular activies (soccer, hiking, bike rides, and more), and the annual Camp For The Boys.
For The Boys
For The Boys exists to intervene in the lives of at-risk boys to prevent them from ending up on the streets in Kenya, Africa through mentorship, extra-curricular activities, and camps.

Why? We studied the growing problem of street children in the Nairobi area and discovered it was mostly boys and no one was doing anything about it. We decided that building strong boys helps the overall social ecosystem by building healthy families, reliable and educated fathers, brothers, and sons, reduces domestic violence, sexual abuse, and improves the economy.

One of the greatest reasons for the growing number of street children is absentee fathers and a lack of a male role model. This is why we started our mentorship program and we currently have 42 boys and 21 mentors. We have three on the ground paid Kenyan staff and a couple unpaid staff running the administration and fundraising from the U.S.
